Have just returned from Bhutan and could not agree more that it is one of the best countries. We have written a similar post and its a delight to read your version. Really loved the detailed manner in which you have portrayed all the things. We weren’t able to visit Bumthang due to lack of time.

Bhutan is on my bucket list and I’m glad I found this complete travel guide. I loved reading the interesting facts about the country. Great to know there is a country that emphasizes on Gross National Happiness rather than the Gross National Product. Thanks for sharing the list of beautiful places to visit. All of them are dipped in sheer natural beauty. I would love to taste their home-grown organic food.

I have had the opportunity to experience the Dragon kingdom whilst I was living in India and must admit that this post brought back some great memories. One of the best things I like is that the lack of train and flights internally makes you travel by road and you get to see a lot more this way. The natural beauty is unparalleled and I would love to take my kids back some day to experience this kingdom. I also enjoy the culinary delights of the north. Great to see more tourism being promoted in Bhutan and the world seeing the beautiful kingdom. Thanks for bringing back memories

The one thing that I am missing right now is the Bhutanese Ema Datshi. I feasted on it when I went there – had it almost every day. I missed out on Bumtang valley – did not have enough time. Went till Phobjikha and then had to get back. Well done with the guide.

I have friends from Bhutan. They say the measure their GDP via Happiness Index. Also, I’m curious to try their food. It seems very yummy. I also love the fact that they limit their tourists. It ensures that the country is clean and less polluted.

I love the disconnection you get in places like Bhutan that are remote and less touristy, must have been a great education for your kids and I love that it is the Happiest Country in the World! The article is very thorough with all the info you’d need to plan a trip there. I’d love to hike near Tiger’s Nest, the Dordenma Buddha looks mighty impressive too! The Dochula Pass looks very unique with the 108 stupas in memory of the soldies.

I have always been fascinated by the culture of Bhutan. It looks beautiful- especially with those snowy mountains. Punakha especially caught my attention. It was wonderful to read that everything there is organize and chemical-free. That is important to me, so I love hearing that I would have a great time finding healthy foods there!

I will not lie, I clicked on Food in Bhutan first and I am glad I did! The picture looks amazing. In addition, the ema datshi sound delicious. I have tried butter tea in Tibet and would be interested to tasted Bhutan’s version. Otherwise, I would like to visit Punakha and am glad that I know now that Bhutan can only be reached via car/bus.
