Can you beat this !
I was in Vadodara for around 2 years, but the plan of visiting the Rann never worked out !
Visiting the Rann specially during the Rann Utsav, must be quite an exhilarating experience, with so much of stuff going on everywhere.
Loved your tip, about planning the trip, closer to the full moon. Am sure witnessing the full moon that too on the banjar rann would be a memorable experience.

I have visited Kutch during my childhood and had some vivid memories of this beautiful place. Your post revived my trip and now I see it has developed a lot as a tourist destination. It must be great to attend Rann Utsav with all folk dances, songs and food too with beautiful surroundings. I was not knowing about the Magnetic field area and it is really surprising to see the car stunt here. I loved the Lippan work and I have tried those lippan work by myself and have some 2 to 3 pieces by me inspired from Kutch. It looks you really had good time here by exploring culture and beauty of Kutch in Gujarat.
